History of Brooks Lake Lodge
When you visit Brooks Lake Lodge you are stepping in to a special part of American history. It was built in 1922 and originally was a stopover for vacationers headed to Yellowstone National Park. Ultimately, it was converted into a dude ranch and renamed the Diamond G. Many people from the East came to visit this ranch to enjoy its amazing beauty. The original lodge was constructed very quickly in less than four months and was developed in the western craftsman architectural style that was popular in the Rocky Mountain region during the early 1900s. Many renovations have occurred over the years, but the architecture has been carefully preserved.
Today it’s known as Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa but it continues to be steeped in history. When you arrive, you will notice the many fine western art pieces and sculptures in the Lodge.
It sits at around 9200 feet above sea level and is in close proximity to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. It offers amazing views of Austin‘s Peak, Brooks Mountain, and the Pinnacle Buttes. The lodge is surrounded by evergreen forests, beautiful Brooks Lake and incredible mountains.
