The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is 20 miles long and more than 1000 feet deep, making it a focal point for many visitors to Yellowstone National Park. In winter, many of Yellowstone’s big game animals come down into the lower warm valleys for food and shelter, giving you the opportunity to view these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. Our tour will follow the Yellowstone river as it cuts through granite fissures, creating the spectacular Yellowstone Falls, documented by artists such as Thomas Moran and Ansel Adams.
