Half Day Winter Wildlife Overview
Start your winter wildlife safari adventure with a cozy tea, coffee or hot chocolate from one of Jackson’s local coffee houses before heading off to explore. The first stop on this tour is the National Elk Refuge, which is home to thousands of wintering elk. Your journey will continue north along the western boundary of the National Elk Refuge to Grand Teton National Park in search of wildlife, stopping for great photograph opportunities of the picturesque scenery in Grand Teton National Park. You will also have the opportunity to visit popular attractions such as Antelope Flats and the small town of Kelly. There is an abundance of wildlife in Jackson Hole during winter, providing an opportunity to observe bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, mountain sheep, trumpeter swans and potentially wolves. Time permitting, we may also visit the Jackson Hole Visitor Center in Grand Teton National Park. The route for this safari can vary seasonally, due to road conditions and wildlife migration.
