Snowmobiling in Jackson Wyoming
This tour starts in the town of Jackson, WY and takes you to the town of Kelly, where a beautiful wildlife habitat evolved following a historic landslide in 1925. Jackson Hole snowmobile enthusiasts are encouraged to explore this diverse wilderness area and take photos of the abundant wildlife including elk, deer, moose coyote, bighorn sheep and bald eagles. Snowmobiling in the Gros Ventre tour takes place on a groomed trail, with plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the impressive views of the Tetons.
Gros Ventre Snowmobile Tour Summary
This trip is 5-6 hours and takes visitors through the striking Gros Ventre Wilderness, providing plenty of time to spot the many creatures living in the area. This tour is perfect for families, couples and photographers.
To maximize your fun, the snowmobiles provided are 2017 or 2018 models of Ski Doo 4-Stoke Machines. Drivers of the snowmobiles are required to be 16 years or older with a valid driver’s license and passengers must be at least 8 years old.
Gros Ventre Snowmobile Tour Details
Trips depart in the morning and early afternoon at 7 am, 10 am and 12:45 pm . Get picked up at your hotel for transportation to our office and then get outfitted with appropriate gear for snowmobiling including a one-piece suit, boots, helmet and gloves. The trail head is approximately a 45-minute drive from the office, so visitors can expect to be on the trail rather quickly.
During the tour, a delicious lunch will be provided. The Gros Ventre Wilderness is recognized as a “critical winter range” meaning there is no off-trail riding for visitors. Fortunately, the trails used for this tour allow visitors to see plenty of wildlife. Visitors taking the 12:45 pm tour can expect to return to town by 5:00 pm.
About the Gros Ventre Range
The Gros Ventre Range is home to black bear, grizzly bear, deer, moose, and many other animals. This region offers a wide variety of trails, and it provides an incredible backcountry experience in this untouched and beautiful area. In the summer, trails in this wilderness area are largely for foot travel. However, in winter snowmobiles are allowed by tour only.
Pricing
The price of this full-day tour varies from $325-$399 per driver and $200-$315 per passengers, which is dependent on the tour date and passenger ages. The hotel pick-up and lunch are both included with the price.
What to Bring
Warm winter clothing needs to be worn under your outerwear to protect you from the cold and snowy conditions. Additionally, we recommend a balaclava to protect your face, and a camera to capture every memory-filled moment.
Cancellations
If cancellations occurs within 48 hours of the arranged trip departures, a 100% cancellation fee will be encountered. Additionally, all tours are subject to change due to weather and snow conditions and insufficient number of people.
