The Lower Loop of Yellowstone
Yellowstone’s Lower Loop is by far the most popular area of Yellowstone because it has a significant percentage of the thermal features in the park and includes Old Faithful. It would literally take weeks to see all the exciting features of the lower loop. Listed below are some of the most important areas to consider for planning your private tour:
- Old Faithful- If you have never been to Old Faithful, it is a must see. It is a truly amazing site and to be remembered for many years to come
- The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone – This section includes Lower Yellowstone Falls may be the single most amazing area of Yellowstone
- The Fountain Paint Pots – During a half mile walk, you can see hydrothermal features, including pink mud pots, mini geysers and blue pools. Yellowstone is home to the largest Mudpot in the world, named for the browns, reds, and yellows. This is well worth visiting in the Lower Geyser Basin
- Firehole Canyon Drive – The confluence of the Gibbons and Firehole Rivers is below Firehole Canyon. The river drops 40 feet down stream
- Fountain Flats Drive – This is an old freight road located behind Midway in the Lower Geyser Basin. It is 3 miles in length and is where elk and bison are often found.
Please note that 15% gratuity will be added onto the price for all private tours.
There’s a 100% cancellation fee when cancellation is given within 72 hours of trip departure. All tours are subject to change due to poor weather conditions.
***Please note that the Wyoming car seat laws state that kids under 9 years old must ride in a federally approved child safety seat in the back seat. If you have children that are 9 or younger, you are responsible for making sure your child has the proper safety seat for the tour.
